VU Outstanding Leadership Award

Ravi Singh's passion for politics began at Valparaiso University. He became he first Asian American to be President of the largest Lutheran 97% Caucasian University. Passionate about service Ravi received a Bachelor of Science, double major in Pre-med and Political Science. He was active as A University Senator, Ombudsman, Chairman of health center advisory committee, and active in promoting the values and ethics of the Christian University. His senior year he was awarded VU's highest award for service and leadership. Ravi stated, "I never looked at being a studentbody president as duty but an honor to serve my fellow classmates...many looked passed my turban in the 90's and respected my potential to serve them...I was humbled."
