JROTC

In 1985, Ravi Singh graduated with full JROTC military honors as 2nd Lieutenant. While here, Ravi Singh received expert marksman. A marksmanship badge is a U.S. military badge or a civilian badge which is awarded to personnel upon successful completion of a weapons qualification course (known as marksmanship qualification badges) or high achievement in an official marksmanship competition. Ravi Singh was the first Sikh to attend a military academy JROTC while also wearing a turban in the United States. He was a member of the Panther Reconnaissance Unit and Band Battalion.  Ravi stated, “Marmion Military Academy taught me to love for my Country while installing in me values of honor and duty no matter what the cost.”
