Ravi In 2016 Ravi started his PhD at the University of the Rockies. He graduated within three years from Ashford University upon completing one of the first PhDs specializing in Social Media Technology. Ravi studied under dissertation Committee: Dr. Michelle Post, Dr. Cinthia Scarlett, Dr. Scott Burrus and Dr. Sinan Aral.

Ravi Singh graduates from prestigious Northwestern University with a Master of Arts in Political Science. He studied under Dr. Paige and Dr. Crotty. While there, Ravi completed a linguistic study of John F. Kennedy’s speeches. His master’s thesis discussed Asian-American participation in the State of Illinois.
Ravi Singh passion for politics began at Valparaiso University, one of the largest private Lutheran universities in the USA. He became the first Asian American to be President of the largest Lutheran University with a 97% caucasian population. "I was honored to serve and grateful to contribute."
At the age of 21, Ravi Singh was elected by over 100 world religious leaders, to sign the Declaration Toward a Global Ethic Declaration and speak on behalf of Generation X Youth, he spoke in front of the Parliament of the World’s Religions at the Palmer House, Chicago Illinois, which included his Holiness the Dalai Lama, on September 4, 1993. He becomes the youngest person to sign this historical document and signs it as Ravneet Singh “Next Generation” four lines below his Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Even as a college student, Dr. Singh showed a penchant for leadership. Throughout his four years at Valparaiso, he held positions including Student Senator, Chair of the Health Advisory Committee, Ombudsman, and eventually was elected President of the student body in his senior year. Ravi is the first Sikh to attend a military academy JROTC while also wearing a turban in the United States. Ravi received expert marksman for shooting. He was a member of the Panther Reconnaissance Unit. He was captain of the High School Golf Team and graduated with full JROTC military honors as 2nd Lieutenant. Legislation was introduced and Ronald Regan signed it into law. It was later overturned, but Ravi and his family did not give up trying. At last, an exemption was made and he was allowed to graduate with full military honors by the Secretary of Defense.

A first generation American, Ravi Singh was born in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois by immigrant parents. His father Dr. Pavitar Singh immigrated from Burma after the 1962 Burmese military coup d'état. He then pursued a career in medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and then eventually Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora, Illinois. His mother Rani Kaur Singh immigrated from Ranchi, India. Ravi was the first grandchild to be born in the USA from Sadar Ranbir Chowdry and Sadar Pheule Singh.
