The Guardian in their article says that “His behavior was unbelievably irresponsible but no politician was better at posting.” On January, 8th 2021, Twitter indefinitely suspended Donald Trump’s @realDonaldTrump account. Through his time on Twitter since 2009 when joined, he has used the platform in a way that no other figure in American government has ever managed before. According to The Guardian, when a group of rioters overran the US Capitol on January 6th 2021, it marked a reprehensible end to an extraordinary online career.[1] “In the wake of his suspension, some have suggested Trump was the greatest Twitter user – or “poster” – of all time.” Although this may be contested, the way Donald Trump’s Twitter account has grown over the years, and the amount of engagement in form of likes, retweets, replies as well as garnering of followers, clearly shows he was a successful Twitter user.
