This article explores Trump’s exchange on insults with the Senator of Arizona, Jeff Flake because there is a history between them because Senator Jeff is a persistent critic towards him, not forgetting that they are all Republicans. Trump tweeted: “How could Jeff Flake, who is setting record low polling numbers in Arizona and was therefore humiliatingly forced out of his own Senate seat without even a fight (and who doesn’t have a clue), think about running for office, even a lower one, again? Let’s face it, he’s a Flake!” This made Flakes poll number to start cratering thus leading to him making a decision to abandon the 2018 Senate re-election bid, however, he is adamant about a possible 2020 presidential run where he will challenge Trump. On the Senate floor, Senator Jeff Flake took his time to direct his speech at Trump for the “erratic behavior” and “confusing action” whereby America is being hurt while its allies are being wedged out.
