Outstanding Asian Americans in Business

The Outstanding Fifty (50) Asian Americans in Business Awards Gala Dinner was first established in 2001 by the Asian American Business Development Center, which has remained the most prestigious forum to highlight the achievements of Asian Americans business professionals across the U.S. The award recipients represent a microcosm of the best of Asian American entrepreneurs, professionals and corporate executives who are engaged in a wide range of business interests, and all of whom have a role in driving the U.S. economy.  The award is managed by the Asian American Business Development Center, Inc. Ravi Singh was selected as a recipient in 2010 for his role as a trailblazer in the Asian American Community.  At an early age, Ravi was the first Asian American to be an NCAA Division 1 Golf Captain and Student body President of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana.  Ravi was the first Asian American to work for Lt. Governor Bob Kustra, to run for 42nd seat Illinois General Assembly.  Ravi Singh was the first Asian American to win the Republican (GOP) nomination for Kane County Board during the 2001 Election. He is also an internet pioneer; he was the first Asian Indian American CEO politico to have co-branded with Microsoft Inc. with his campaign and election software.
