A Twitter User who Impersonated Trump's Family to Get Donations

Dolmetsch, C. (2021, June 8). Twitter Impersonator of Trump Family Members Arrested for Fraud. Bloomberg. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-08/twitter-impersonator-of-trump-family-members-arrested-for-fraud

This article addresses the incidence of a Twitter user who impersonated Trump family on social media. The 22-year-old was able to raise thousands of dollars for a phony political organization. He managed to get away with this for some time fraudulent behavior because he impersonated Trump's family members. He was finally arrested early June and charged with wire fraud and identity theft. However, before his arrest, he had managed defraud hundreds of unsuspecting social media users who ended up sending him money for the political group. The group’s agenda was to help get Trump re-elected, and those who wanted that to happen fell into the trap. Being months after the new president was sworn in, it seems that Trump’s support is still strong and a good number still believes in his cause that’s why they were ready to support the push to have him re-elected, but unfortunately it was fraud.

Good Karma for those who comment...
