Online Brands/Socia Media Leaders Have Different Strategies That Make Their Tweets Impactful

In this article, Kim Arin analyzes the tweeting strategies employed by a seven-member band in South Korea called BTS. According to the author, the BTS band is considered one of the most vocal celebrities in social media. Although the band’s personal Twitter account has nearly 17 million followers, its Twitter engagement rates are higher than the combined rates of Justin Bieber and Donald Trump. Importantly, the band follower count is by far considerably less than the following commanded by the US president, Donald Trump, or the Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber, which had accumulated to 44.9 million and 104 million respectively as of 2017. This aspect suggests that engagement levels in Twitter are not significantly influenced by the number of followers. This article is extremely useful to online brands as it provides them with relevant strategies to make their tweets more impactful and achieve optimal levels of user engagement.
