This article talks about a newly launched Trump’s communication platform, which has been billed as a place where his supporters can freely and safely speak. The author states that the new platform seemed like a one-way communication and looks more like a blog. The platform, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump revealed a site with no user-generated content, no comments or posts. The author states that the posts already on the site were no more than 280 characters each, similar to Twitters maximum characters for a tweet. The platform is said to allow Trump to post and followers to share Trump’s posts to other social media like Twitter or Facebook. However, the site does now have a feature that allows users to replay or engage with the posts shared by Trump. In defense for that, Fox News reported that the site is an exclusive report. There were those who made fun of the platform saying it was just a website or blog section. Jason Miller, former Trump aide noted that this was not Trump’s new social media platform.
