Social Media Followers Engage Differently On The Social Media Posts

In this blog post, the author details the report of a study aimed at examining various factors that increase a tweet’s engagement. According to the author, each tweet posted on twitter often presents users with an opportunity to develop their social media voice and engage with their followers. However, there are some tweets which garner significant engagement rates, while others are not that impactful. Therefore, the author investigated whether specific metrics, such as photos, hashtags, links, videos, and numbers, can influence user engagement levels with a tweet.
Over 2 million tweets sent by different users in the United States were used for sampling. The results revealed that although people engage differently with every post, incorporating videos, photos, links, hashtags, and numbers within a text, significantly improved the engagement levels of a tweet.
