Social Media Leaders Know The Most Ideal Time To Share Content That Generates a High Engagement Rate

Haden, J. (2015, June 25). The best times to tweet for clicks, retweets, and engagement. Inc. Retrieved from https://www.inc.com/jeff-haden/4-8-million-tweets-later-extensive-research-on-best-times-to-tweet.html

In this paper, Haden details a report on a study, conducted by social media management software company called Buffer, about the best times to get the most clicks and retweets on Twitter. According to the author, it is important for social media leaders to know the exact times to schedule their tweets to generate high user engagement rates. The report indicates that, on average, early mornings are the best times for tweets to get most clicks, whereas evenings and late nights are best for engagement. Specifically, the report highlights that tweets sent between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. are likely to generate more clicks. The highest levels of tweet engagement are achieved between 11:00 p.m. and 5 a.m. Haden reiterates the sentiment of blogger, Ella Bogdan, that a global audience ought to be considered when deciding the best time to send a tweet. Thus, the easiest option is for leaders to discover the timeframe that most of their followers are found online.
