Trump Attacks Greta Thunberg on Twitter

Voytko, L. (2019, December 12). Trump attacks Greta Thunberg on Twitter—And Greta trolls him back.             Forbes.       twitter-and-greta-trolls-him-back/#51b64fd51792

Greta Thunberg and Donald Trump had previously scuffled on Twitter after she delivered a powerful and blunt speech to the United Nations general assembly. Trump went on to retweet Thunberg’s speech, saying "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”  Thunberg went on to troll Trump by making his tweet her Twitter bio. Voytko states that Trump and Thunberg crossed paths at the UN general assembly, a moment that went viral after Thunberg showed her disapproving expression towards the president.

Trump attacked the 16-year-old environmental activist Greta Thunberg for being named Time magazine's "Person of The Year." Trump won the similar reward in 2016 after the presidential election and he criticized the magazine for passing him up in the previous years. Greta Thunberg dismissed Trump's comments, and said she wouldn't consider meeting with the U.S. president on the issue of climate change. “I don’t understand why I would do that," Thunberg said in an interview with Ellen. "I don’t see what I could tell him that he hasn’t already heard, and I just think it would be a waste of time, really."

Good Karma for those who comment...
