Trump had Posted More than 2,300 Tweets on His Twitter Account By January 2017

This article analyzes some of Donald Trump’s tweets on economy of the United States since he was sworn in as the president of the country. Notably, since his inauguration in late January 2017, Trump has posted more than 2,300 tweets on his Twitter account. This shows how Trump is fond of using Twitter as his primary communicating instrument. Interestingly, a closer look at his Tweeter Archive reveals that hundreds of tweets were about the economy and various economic issues such as tax reform, job creation, and the stock market. Indeed, revitalizing the economy was one of the key deliverables in Trump’s manifesto during presidential campaigns. In particular, the president talked about the economy of the US in 417 tweets. Additionally, he was keen on mentioning the monthly job figures in numerous tweets to show that unemployment rates were gradually decreasing. This article shows that president Trump is enthusiastic about using Twitter to push his legislative agendas as well as to announce his achievements.
