Trump Launches Website to Serve as New Personal Office

Maruf, R. (2021, March 31). Donald Trump launches new website for personal office after social media bans. CNN. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/03/30/media/donald-trump-website-launch/index.html

According to this article, former president and first lady Melania Trump have launched a website that will serve as the new personal office for the two. The new website, 45office.com was launched after Trump’s ban from social media platforms. The author states that the website features a biography for Donald Trump and more than a dozen pictures of himself. The website does not mention Trump’s two impeachment trials, but it does reference how the coronavirus arrived from China and that Trump acted early and decisively to ban travel from China, an act that saved lives. The author states that Trump has remained silent online since the Capitol insurrection that killed 5 people and had 150 people charged by the Justice Department. These events led to Trump being banned from Twitter and other major social platforms. The author notes that Trump will indeed return to social media in 2-3 months on his own social media platform based on Trump’s long adviser statement. Miller said that the new platform “will attract "tens of millions" of new users and "completely redefine the game." It is also noted that Trump’s son in law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner advised him not to join fringe social media platforms like Gab and Parler. On the new website, there’s a section to request personalized greetings from Mr. and Mrs. Trump and one can also request them to attend an event.
