The social media can be a very powerful tool for political endeavors if utilized well. However, no political leader in American history has stretched the limits of social media the way President Donald Trump does. Boasting of a massive 33.7 million followers on Twitter as of November 2017, Trump has used the social networking site to interact directly with his supporters, as well as, attack his political opponents and critics. While there is nothing is wrong with an individual expressing his own sentiments on the social media platform, many Americans feel that Trump is defiling the dignity of the presidency office by his random and offensive insults. In fact, some fellow members of the Republican Party, such as Senator Ben Sasse, also demonstrated their distaste towards Trump’s tweeting behavior. However, despite the numerous criticisms levelled against him, Donald Trump insisted that he was not going to quit Twitter anytime soon.
