According Togoh, Twitter suspended fake accounts that claimed to be black people supporting Trump. The accounts were said to have used uniform language in their tweets., which read "YES I'M BLACK AND I'M VOTING FOR TRUMP.” Darren Linvill of Clemson University said that most of the accounts employed Digital face, which means that they falsely represented themselves by using real black people images that were downloaded from the internet. This came when social media platforms were trying to tighten and enforce policies on misinformation and disinformation as the elections neared. Twitter already banned political ads, and Facebook was receiving pressure from campaigners and lawmakers on the issue of political ads. So, Facebook stopped running political Ads the week up to Election day.
