Dutch prosecutors confirmed that Trump's official account was hacked in October 2020. The ethical hacker going by the name Victor Gevers said he accessed Trump's account @realDonaldTrump on October 16, 2020 by guessing the password. He guessed the current slogan used by Donald trump in his campaigns, MAGA2020! The White House disagreed with the report and said that no one had hacked the president’s account. Netherland's public prosecutor's office agreed that the hack had happened but the hacker met with the criteria developed to be considered a free ethical hacker. So, he could go free. According to the hacker, the account did not have extra protection. He said that the ease with which he managed to guess the password meant that the only protection in place was the Two-Step-Verification. He added that he expected to be blocked from the account after four failed attempts or be asked to share additional information.
