The author states that the Republicans lost the White House, senate and House of Representatives in four years and that the blame falls on Donald Trump. The author says that this should have been a time to reflect toward the future but instead they met in Florida to hear Trump speak. Trump's speech is being described as an angry tirade against senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Pence, and Fauci. According to the author, one of the people who attended the meeting said that the speech was horrible, long, and negative. Some of the high-end donors are said not to be pleased with what they saw and are having second guesses on whether they want to invest in a revenge filled candidate who doesn’t care about the Republican party. That it does not matter who wins the election for Trump but who loses. During a Conservative Political Action Conference back in February, Trump announced that he would target all the Republicans who were against him during the impeachment, he told the Republicans to get rid of them.
