According to Herman (2020), Trump remaining silent for almost a week following the announcement of the winner of the 2020 U.S presidential elections. Although trump has been silent, Herman says that he has been very vocal on Twitter, but almost all his tweets were being debunked by the platform. The author says that Trump was not addressing the soaring coronavirus cases and the vaccine production. Trump had missed White House coronavirus meetings during the campaigns. The White house defended him in response to criticism from Democrats that Trump prematurely ceased governing following his defeat. The White House deputy secretary Judd Deere told VOA that Trump was fighting hard for a free and fair election while fulfilling his duties as the president.
