The thesis examines how Donald Trump made use of twitter as a tool for his presidential campaign. The article is informative of the United States elections which are held every four years. The author describes how campaigns used to be held with the old media before the internet error. These days, people are too busy to attend campaign rallies each month and thus the change in the nature of campaign rallies. The author provides a brief history of when the internet first became popular in United States which is the late 1990s. The article also emphasizes that the success of political campaign on social media is based on the candidate’s model. The internet provides more possibilities for party candidates to promote themselves at a low cost in comparison to other platforms. In that case Trump’s model certainly worked for him despite his controversial use of twitter to harass and abuse and his opponents.
